The YES thats worth it all

I have regrets. Do you?

I have said NO to Jesus for fear of looking foolish, for fear of failure and just for fear’s sake. But with Jesus, it is never too late to give Him your YES and be used by Him. Don’t listen to the enemy who tells you that you missed your chance. He is the God of the 2nd and the 4000th chance! Your YES can begin right here and now.

Is it worth it though?

Imagine asking Abraham if it was easy to lay down his son on a slab to slay? But his obedience birthed a nation. What about Esther, her faithful and risky YES saved a nation. What about Noah, his YES meant God’s mercy on the nations to come.

But wait, could we look at it another way. It’s not ALL about our YES, because our YES should be the grateful response to what the Father has already answered over us.

The most important YES was the one in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus said YES to the Father and was obedient unto death. That radical YES from heaven’s darling ushered in a covenantal YES that could never be reversed!

So YES, it is worth it all, but more supremely, Jesus is worth it all. God help us TODAY to respond to You as Mary did when she gave her very beautiful and sacrificial YES;

“Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.”

Like Mary and so many other of our beloved Bible friends, there is no doubt our YES will be costly. but they gave their imperfect YES to a perfect God and He did wonders with their lives.

God loves to use us as His vessel of rescue, so what lost souls in your school, university, work place or church are awaiting your YES today?

Thank you God for giving us your YES of approval through your Son Jesus, may we love and honour and obey you with a YES for all of our days.
