How can God? (Day 4)

Ever wondered how God could bring good from your grief?

Me too.

The broken relationship. The failing friendship. The dwindling ministry. The unwanted status. The distant dream. The disappointment. The hurt. The tears.

It's hard to see how God could ever transform difficult days into triumphant tomorrows, isn't it? But allow these words of hope to invade your hurting heart today.

In Psalm 84:6, David writes of the Valley of Baca. The term 'Baca' derives from a Hebrew word which means 'weeping'. And if tears have ever gathered in your eyes or rolled down your cheeks, my guess is, you have walked this valley before.

But David reminds us that even days filled with tears can be transformed by God.

Yes, God can transform even the toughest of terrain into a place of hope. He can turn deserts of disappointment into ground for growth. Our deepest struggles into His greatest successes. Any season of lack into a season of enough.

He can transform even our worst days into wells of His goodness and direct any wilderness journey into a land overflowing with His provision. He can turn dusty, desolate roads into prosperous, productive paths.

Friend, where there is lament, He can bring life. Where there is brokenness, He can bring healing. And where there is barrenness, He can bring new birth.

Be encouraged; our God is a transformational God. And even today, He can transform any tears of turmoil into terrain you most certainly can tread.

'As they go through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.' Psalm 84:6 ESV
